When will an Employee Forfeit his/her Annual Leave?

Part IV of the Employment Act states that Annual Leave can be forfeited under the following circumstances:

  • You are dismissed due to misconduct
  • Failed to consume your leave within 1 year after the end of 12 months of continuous service
  • Absent from work without approval for more than 20% of the total working days in a month / year
